The Budget Template is the structural side of configuration — it controls how the output workbook looks and what's in it. You configure it on the right-hand panel of the Budget Setup screen; no questionnaire needed. For the full per-setting breakdown of everything on that panel, see Budget Setup UI settings.
The shape of the output
- Sheets — which tabs to include. The four core sheets (Operating Budget, Reserve Budget, Proposed Year Monthly, Current Year Monthly) always render; you can also turn on Summary, Mailing Sheet, and Maintenance Schedule. (Assessment Schedule and Reserve Schedule sheets are not currently available — see What's not supported yet.)
- Columns — historical actual years, plus Current Year Budget, YTD, Remaining, Projected, Proposed Budget, Variance (%), and Budget vs Projected Net Change. Show, hide, and rename these to match how your boards read a budget.
- Primary sheet — which sheet holds the editable source-of-truth proposed numbers (Proposed Year Monthly by default).
- Theming — colors, fonts, and header styling to match your company's brand.
Tweak any of these to match how your team and boards expect to see budgets. Note: adding or removing columns beyond the built-in set isn't supported via the agent — see Troubleshooting & FAQ.
